Abstract

As liquid-containing vessels, reinforced concrete tanks are utilized. Ground-supported tanks, ground storage reservoirs, and high ground-level storage reservoirs, as well as elevated water tanks, are all examples of elevated storage reservoirs. The seismic behaviour of an elevated Intze water tank was assessed in accordance with Indian standards. One of the most important civil engineering concerns in earthquake-prone locations is the ability of lifeline systems to withstand earthquake-related damage. One of the most significant buildings is elevated water tanks. In this study, a linear static analysis of an elevated Intze water tank was performed to improve seismic performance in accordance with IS: 1893 (Part-1):2016. These structures are particularly vulnerable to horizontal seismic stresses because they have a large mass concentrated at the top of the supporting structure. The result show that the elevated Intze water tank considered here with designed staging and container vessel behave well under seismic loading.
