Abstract

Cement mortar is the most widely used construction work. Due to the boost of the
construction work in country, a huge shortage is created in the availability of construction
materials. This research work focus on partial replacement of cement with bagasse ash and
neem seed ash which are obtained from agricultural wastes either by incineration in the
laboratory or industry where waste has been incinerated for energy production. This paper
summarizes the experimental studies of cement mortar cubes of ratio 1:3 by partially
replacing ordinary portland cement with Sugarcane Bagasse Ash (SCBA) and Neem Seed
Husk Ash (NSHA). Cement mortar were prepared various present of SCBA as partially
replacement of OPC in range 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and NSHA is constant in 5% by weight of
cement. The compressive strength test results show that replacement of cement upto 5% by
weight of cement with SCBA and NSHA gives the optimums results for the 28 and 56 days of
curing.
