Development of Intelligent Locker Security System Based on SMS and GSM Technology

Abstract

There are a lot of thefts happening in the banks these days. Every locker is considered to be a secure place to keep expensive things such as documents, important files, cash, jewelry, etc. which can be precious to everyone. Most of the banks offer the facilities of safer lockers which are mostly operated by mechanical key systems. Sometimes keys will get lost by someone. So, by considering this problem we are designed a Bank Locker System with Double password Security. The main concept of our project is, bank locker will open using two passwords in which 1st password is entered by the user through a keypad and if that password is correct then the user gets 2nd password through the GSM module. Then GSM sends a One-time password in the form of OTP to the customer's mobile number registered in the bank database. An only authorized person can access this bank locker only when both passwords are valid. If any system has only one password then there are more chances to access the locker by an unauthorized person. So it is always better to use a double security system.
