Determination of Water Contamination Level using Arduino and Zigbee Protocols for Rivers

Abstract

Presence of water in its clean form is beneficial for human beings as well as aquatic ecosystem. All the organisms need water in its clean and pure form. To maintain its quality, several regulatory bodies have been established to monitor the purity. However, all the efforts seem to be inefficient. India is a country that conferred the status of goddess to it. There are several traditional rituals that follow the immersion of dead bodies into the rivers, all these traditional and custom rituals have increased the level of pollution in the rivers. Despite forming a separate Ministry by Government of India, the Indian rivers are still contaminated. Our system deals with the real-time monitoring and observing the contamination level of river. This system is also effective in alarming the authorities, about the danger of level of contamination in the rivers.
