Abstract

In various settings such as homes, workplaces, and retail establishments, security has always been a significant concern, and it continues to be so today. Unauthorized entry into one's residence or place of business is a worry for everyone. Traditional door locks can be supplemented with keys for access control. However, relying solely on passwords or patterns for lock activation poses risks as they can be compromised, allowing unauthorized access. To address these issues, a combination of door locks and biometrics can be employed. Biometric verification involves identifying an individual based on one or more unique biological characteristics. By incorporating this system instead of conventional locks, problems such as key loss can be eliminated since keys are not required. Therefore, using an Arduino, we aim to develop a highly secure system with enhanced features.
