Infant Cry Detection and Analysis Using MATLAB

Abstract

In computer technology, which helps to find the face of a person or an infant in video and image is face detection. In recent times Face recognition is used in the security system. If we compare it to other biometrics for security like fingerprints. The main aim of this proposed work is to build an emotional recognition of the infant while crying. For detecting faces in the image, we had a lot of algorithms. Here we used the Viola-Jones algorithm to recognize the face of a person. We are not only identifying the face but also the eye, nose, and mouth of the person and the image quality is analyzed. Then Extract the non-skin region and Morphological operations are applied to extracted images to extract the facial feature for recognition of facial emotions. This experiment has shown that this proposed strategy was effective. Here we used different types of images for detection to see the result. The MATLAB tool is used for implementing this face-detection process.
