Design and Architecture of LPC2148 Microcontroller

Abstract

This paper gives an overview of LPC2148 architecture and its processes in a device implementing this microcontroller. ARM7TDMI is a core processor module embedded in many ARM7 microprocessors. ARM7TDMI is capable of executing Thumb instruction set. It is featured with IEEE Std. 1149.1 JTAG boundary-scan debugging interface and Multiplier-And-Accumulate (MAC) unit for DSP applications. It is also featured with the support of embedded In-Circuit Emulator provides three pipe stages, i.e., instruction fetch, decode, and execution.
