Future ERP: In-Memory Computing (IMC) Technology Infusion

Abstract

As the current needs are elasticizing from socializing to using gadgets or electronic items like refrigerators, thermostats, light bulbs, jet engines and even heart rate monitors, live data streaming is done that not only kept us updated but also helps in predicting our lifestyle day by. With all the modern facilities by our side, comes the complications of managing such a huge data. To bring our dreams to reality, we now have a technology that engulfs the whole idea and gives an easy of processing to a large number of users. The reason to support this easy of processing is – In-memory computing technology. Hardware cost is directly affected with a large number of users accessing a huge portion of the RAM. An area where a large amount of processing is done and the speed of processing is on high priority, data volume is increasing on regular basis, a giant investment is needed. The developers of the technology advise to check for the authenticity of the users before giving the rights to handle their data. With the concept of IMC technology, we have storage in the primary random-access memory in place of storing the data in complex relational databases that run on slow disk drives. One can enhance their business agility with the adoption of IMC technology specifically in the areas of banking, retailing etc. where a large amount of data is analyzed statistically and a quick response is produced.
