Abstract

Users utilize GUI (Graphical User Interface) to communicate with the computing devices. Functional testing of GUI deals with how the specifications of the software component under test are tested. To represent the large number of events the covering arrays come into existence. Minimum size of the covering array is not known. The in-parameter-order generator algorithm and simplified swarm optimization algorithm are chosen and the global best test cases are selected in the Simplified Swarm Optimization Algorithm by using the weight factors. The test cases of two algorithms are considered in order to compare the performance of their test suites of two state model of GUI by using the concept of Uncovered Interaction Ratio. The Simplified Swarm Optimization Algorithm performs effective test case reduction.
