Abstract

A new evolution of mobile communication technology is the fifth generation which will be launched soon. However, high enhanced data rates and the necessary mobility of new wireless applications have turned into challenging factors for researchers and designers of mobile communication technology. As the number of users is increasing day by day, the need for more efficient and modulation strategies are also needed to support different services, changes and waveforms. In fact, these are one of the physical level components that determine the system's output, reliability and complexity. For this reason, critical attention is given to their design to meet different 5G service requirements. As a result, this work presents a comparative analysis of the performance of three multicarrier modulation strategies. F-ODDM, UFMC, and FBMC, including strategies based on peak-to-average-power-ratio (PAPR) and bit error rate (BER).
