Simple Design of Log Periodic Dipole Array Antenna
Abstract
In this paper a simple Log-Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna has been analyzed. The antenna structure consists of 11 dipoles with total dimensions of 91 × 155mm2. The antenna covers the frequency band 5 GHz stablished by the IEEE 802.11 standard. The antenna is fed by crisscross structure, and produces an end-fire radiation pattern. The simulation results show that, a good progressive radiation pattern has been achieved by the LPDA antenna elements and a good agreement with radiation pattern results.
