Abstract

A firewall is a piece of hardware, software, or both that is used to protect a business against disruption by outcasts. It controls the flow of traffic through a switch connected to the organizational structure. Organizations are becoming more vulnerable to attacks as a result of their rising complexity and the necessity to make them more transparent due to the growing emphasis and popularity of the web as a method of trade. The search is on for tools and processes to protect internal organizations against such attacks. The firewall is one of the protective elements that have received serious consideration. Firewalls are becoming increasingly complicated over time, and new components are constantly being added.
