This research paper deals with methods to implement Time-based ADC. Voltage-to-Time Converter (VTC) and Time-to-Digital Converter (TDC) are the main Time-based ADC circuitry. As Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) has become an incredibly powerful logic device, implementing ADC is advantageous. Various criteria, such as power usage, scale needed for deployment, resources expended and time-based ADC resolution, play a critical role in the implementation process. The emphasis is on the design of “ADC using TDC” using Verilog HDL in Xilinx-Vivado and implementing it on the FPGA board with the defined parameters.
