Powering Household Appliances using an Infrared Remote

Abstract

In past homeowners were having trouble getting themselves a wireless network for controlling their appliances. Since, past few years there have been some development in this sector. Nowadays, people are able to control their appliances from anywhere in their house due to the new RF modules which could control appliances from 20 to 30 meters away. In this paper, we are exhibiting something like this. Our project is based on controlling appliances like fan or bulb from a distance. Our approach was to make the system less costly so that everyone can use this system in their homes.
