Smart GPS - Based Baggage Tracking System

Abstract

Loss of luggage is a common problem when travelling through public transportation like airways/railways. In this paper, an attempt is made to find the solution of this problem using an application of Internet of Things. We try to solve this problem using a GPS - based baggage tracking system which can be further verified by an RFID sensor. The user can get the location of his bag with the help of an IoT analytic platform service or a web server. An attempt is also made to overcome the drawbacks of different similar systems by implementing features such as low-cost, security, etc.
