In a Typical Communication System, performance of receiver circuit depends on various processing action taking place at the receiver module. Three important process involved at the receiver module are Amplification of weak signals, demodulation and denoising. The denoising process is carried out by digital filters. In a mobile communication system these receiver element works under various extreme environmental background conditions, where denoising play a vital role in extraction of information from the received signal. Speech processing involves various processes such as extraction of speech, smoothening speech and removal of reverberation. There is demand for low-cost VLSI architectures based digital filters; a dedicated hardware for speech processing will reduce the software complexity of mobile phones. In this paper, we have simulated different types of digital filters. The performance analysis of these filters will help us to develop specific architecture for speech processing.
