The traditional blood pressure method is Korotkoff method cause severe damage in artery and cannot measure the pressure continuously or in a series. In this paper, the proposed system is a non Korotkoff method. Photoplethysmography technique is used to detect the digital signal from the finger tip of the left hand. It is filtered and amplified using signal conditioning unit and signal is sent to PIC microcontroller which is programmed in hi-tech compiler with help of MPLAB Integrated Development Environment (IDE) software. Systolic and diastolic pressure is displayed on Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and personal computer when there is a variation from normal blood pressure changes, an SMS alert is sent to doctor’s mobile phone via Global System for Mobile communication (GSM).
