The Level of Community Knowledge on the Usage of Itchy Leaves

Itchy leaves are used to relieve body aches. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of public knowledge about the use of medicinal itchy leaves in the district Demta Papua Indonesia. Sampling was carried out by cluster sampling using a questionnaire. However, the analysis used Chi-square by comparing sociodemographic data with the level of knowledge and attitudes of the community towards the use of itchy leaves. The results showed that the use of itchy leaves was moderate category (83%), and the attitude was moderate (73%). There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and age and education with public knowledge, namely by sign (0.02) and (0.01) meaning that if it is below α <0.05, and there is also a relationship between attitude and gender at sign (0.029) age with the sign (0.001), work with the sign (0.001), and education with the sign (0.001).
