Abstract

Organizations need to be innovative to survive, with ability to constantly create a new product, service, process or a system, so as to be competitive and efficient. Banks are no exception to this principle. Banks now operate in a highly competitive environment in globally integrated markets with the all pervasive influence of technology. Bank markets have changed from local to global.  Customers have been transformed from acceptance level to delight level. There is fierce competition everywhere and economies have been witnessing surpluses in place of shortages. Technology itself is experiencing quantum change from gradual change. The society now is more demanding with regard to the rights of its consumers. The new game requires new strategies with an accent on innovation for organizational transformation and to achieve world class competitiveness through improved technology, efficiency and reduced operational cost.
