Abstract

The importance of an interleaved boost converter in telecommunication systems is highlighted in this research. Interleaved boost converters with zero-voltage switching (ZVS) and zero-current switching (ZCS) are thoroughly studied. The research provides a discussion of switch mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, power MOSFET switches, and the soft switching theory.  The number of phases, inductor, output capacitor, and freewheeling diodes, as well as main switches, are researched for the planned IBC in the telecom sector. The importance of IBC as a suitable power converter for communications systems is highlighted through theoretical research.
