More than two-thirds of the female workforce in Kanyakumari district chose different workers from the unorganized sector. Many workers are part of the disorganized labor department of our country and of our state as a whole. More than one lakh are engaged in non-union workers in Tamil Nadu. A significant number of these workers are women and children. The suffering of these workers is certainly a matter of concern. Almost all female workers needed a large workforce consisting of uneducated villagers from neighboring counties and even distant states. Workers and their families in working conditions on the construction site do not have space with suitable living conditions and they live near mainly migrant workers, their children's educational needs are often neglected. They often live in makeshift homes that may or may not be close to public schools. These workers face a number of health problems; legal issues and issues related to their living and working conditions. There is an urgent need to solve these problems. Therefore, an attempt was made in this research work to understand the socioeconomic conditions of female non-union workers in Killiyoor Taluk in Kanyakumari District.
