The Perception of Faculty Members towards Entrepreneurship- An Empirical Study

Entrepreneurship enables one to create employment by starting and running their own business, establishing self-development, and achieving financial independence in the era of globalization. An entrepreneur is someone who runs a business on the basis of taking risks and dealing with economic uncertainty. Faculty members should aware of entrepreneur activities so as to motive the students. The present paper empirically examines the awareness of faculty on entrepreneurship and this and the requirement of skills. The present study was used primary sources with a sample size of 120 faculty members and the selection of sampling is based on the convenience sampling. The study collected the data through the secondary sources. The study revealed that there is a lack of awareness to Faculty on Entrepreneurship. The study demonstrates the urgent need for teacher awareness and training through teacher training programs on entrepreneurship and concludes that entrepreneurs play an important role in the economic development of the country. Entrepreneurship plays a role in turning a developing country into an established developing country. Entrepreneurship is at the heart of poverty reduction in this country. That is why we need to work on entrepreneurial education with proper mentoring and training at the same time. Governments need to ensure entrepreneurship with adequate financial resources and proper education for sustainability in business. The results of this research can provide the right direction for governments, networks of alternative agencies, and support agencies to design effective programs and policies that help entrepreneurs succeed in the future.
