Abstract

Despite the fact that women have overcome educational barriers, pushed professional boundaries, and at least partially achieved women's emancipation in many countries, and increased representation of women in business organizations and other economic activities. However, the equal treatment of women in organizational contexts is still delusional. Many women face workplace discrimination in workplaces characterized by stigma, exclusion and oppression. Many countries have taken various initiatives to ensure gender diversity in corporate governance, but there is still a long way to go. This article attempts to use a women's perspective to provide an overview of issues related to gender diversity and the establishment of equal opportunities for women in the current organizational context. Theories such as glass ceilings, glass escalators, glass cliffs, queen bee syndrome, social identity theory, oppression theory, and interference theory were used to build the paper's arguments. The document also outlines actions that organizations can take to address the identified issues.
