This study attempts to explore the entrepreneurial intention of university students among the final year students of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ), Sri Lanka and proposes recommendations to improve the entrepreneurial intention of students. . 340 final year students from five faculties (Faculty of Management and Business Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Technology) of Sri Jayewardenepura University have contributed to the This study by answering a structured questionnaire was built on the basis of Ajzen's (1991)[1] model of the theory of planned behavior with some modifications. The validity and reliability of the study were confirmed, and the data were analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis tools. Data analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 23.0 and path analysis was performed using Smart PLS. Research results show that attitude towards behavior, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control and entrepreneurship education are positively correlated with the intention to start a business of final year university students. Attitude towards behavior is the most influential factor on students' intention to start a business.
