Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting youth attitude towards entrepreneurship in reference to TEVT colleges of Hawassa city administration Sidama region, Ethiopia. In order to achieve this objective, the researcher has used explanatory research design and mixed research approach in which five hypotheses have been tested. Furthermore, both primary and secondary data were collected. Primarily data has been collected from 100 respondents through questionnaires. Secondary data were collected by reviewing published and unpublished materials related to the topic. Both descriptive and inferential statistics has been used to analyze the data. According to the regression analysis, this study revealed that entrepreneurial training, access to finance, risk taking, family support and cooperation with others have positive and significant effect on youth attitude towards entrepreneurship in reference to TEVT college of Hawassa city administration. Based on the finding of the study recommendation was forwarded to the concerned bodies who are responsible to improve the youth attitude towards entrepreneurship.
