Home Automation and Security System Based on Android Application

Abstract

A Home Automation and Security System based on GSM and an Android application suggest that when someone tries to enter the house, an SMS will be sent to the homeowner's mobile phone indicating that someone is inside the house so that the homeowner can take some preventative measures to protect his house from the burglar. Additionally, a mobile phone's android application can be used to operate household appliances, which will lessen the amount of labor required from the user. In an Android application, a list of different home appliances will be available, along with ON/OFF switches. A user can use an android application to turn on and off their household appliances by clicking on that certain button.
