Abstract

Presently, the biggest danger to their lives and the lives of others is drinking and driving. Although we cannot stop people from drinking, we may prevent accidents by asking them if they have consumed any alcohol. We can also install these kinds of modest gadgets in cars to ensure that no more driving while intoxicated incidents occur. Consequently, drunk driving is a significant contributor to accidents in practically every nation on earth. Passengers seated inside the automobile will be protected thanks to the alcohol detector in the car idea. In order to avoid accidents and make driving on the roads safer for both drivers and commuters, the current investigation is intended to serve as an example of technical effort in the form of a project. The work was created by combining sensors for measuring alcohol concentration with microcontroller boards like Arduino; the ATmega328 is more flexible in performing a wider range of tasks than any other traditional microcontroller. The MQ3 module, which can be used with any type of vehicle and has a reasonable sensitivity range of two metres, is used to detect alcohol particles. The sensor also has the unique ability to go unnoticed by the defendants. It is too small to fit the entire setup in a product form inside an automobile.
