Testing of Material Strength of Brass Electroplated with Nickel Metal

Abstract

A material contains many mechanical properties such as strength, hardness, ductility, toughness, etc. There are many ways to test the properties of a material. The term 'testing' uses to find out the ability of a material under the action of the load. In this research, we are discussing the impact strength properties of the brass material. The Charpy impact test apparatus calculates the impact strength properties of the brass material. In which nickel metal is coated on the brass surface by the electroplating process and then uses as a Charpy impact test sample. This research aims to determine the variation in the strength properties of pure brass and nickel-plated brass and then compare the variation in the strength properties.
