Abstract

In the 1990s, the construction industry began employing Ultra High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete, which has since been utilized to construct bridges all over the world. In comparison to standard concrete, the mechanical qualities and dense matrix result in cheaper material usage and higher durability, but UHPC application in Indian construction industry has been delayed. This study investigates use of UHPC in bridges and mechanical properties of UHPC for design. The advantages, limitations, and present work of UHPC bridges are discussed. In addition to this, French national standard NF P18-470 (2016) is also studied for better understanding.
