Shear walls are a type of structural system that provides lateral resistance to a building or
structure. Now a days earthquakes are common. Due to earthquake horizontal forces comes
on structures.so shear wall is compulsory requirement for every high rise buildings and there
is a need to study and analyse the structural system for R.C.C. framed structures. The most
important aspect of high rise building is Safety and damage should be minimized in case of
severe earthquake. To withstand this high seismic load, structure must have adequate lateral
strength, stiffness and sufficient ductility. There are many structural system which designer
can choose like shear wall frame or braced concrete frame. In present study response of
these structural system under seismic load have been conducted. Dynamic behavior of these
structural system have been studied and compared. Axial forces, displacement and moments
are compared in both cases.
