Abstract

In this paper deals the smart construction with nanoconcrete has the potential to make faster,
safer, cheaper and more varied, resulting good construction work. High Performance
Concrete (HPC) is gaining much popularity due to its excellent resistance to aggressive
environments and safeguarding the concrete structures from premature deterioration. The
main objective of the study is to evaluate the possibility of using nano silica and silica fume
as cement replacement materials and copper slag as partial fine aggregate in high
performance concrete. In the advancement in the field of nanotechnology can be used to
sense cracks in foundations of structures. In recent years Nano silica is a new mineral
admixture with particle size in the nano metric range and high specific surface area.
Concrete with properly dispersed nano silica of optimum quantity results in excellent
strength and durability properties. Usage of mineral admixtures reduces the quantity of
cement for concrete production which, in turn, reduces the emission of CO2 into the
atmosphere. This paper gives creative ideas about making of smart and innovative
infrastructure that leads a smart city with the help of application of nanosilica in civil
structures.
