Abstract

In large-scale concrete construction of Rock-filled concrete (RFC) was recently developed.
The filling capacity of self-compacting concrete (SCC) makes it highly dependent on
distinctive casting procedure of RFC. This research examined the most controversial issues
regarding performance of SCC and Rock Filled Concrete (RFC). An experimental setup
designed to arouse SCC flow in rock skeleton were investigated. The slump cone, L-Box, JRing,
and V-Funnel tests were carried out on the fresh Self Compacting Concrete with the
EFNARC guidelines. After each mix proportion, specimens were casted and cured for 28
days in water and compressive strength and split tensile values were determined. The result
show that the strengths found better for SCC with Rock filled concrete.
