Construction industry uses Concrete as one of the supreme material to create various structures. The well compacted concrete only possesses higher strength, which is able to withstand the loads acting on it without failure. Required compaction of concrete is achieved by adopting proper equipment. But this compaction of concrete becomes very much difficult when it is used for high raised constructions and innovatively designed structures. Self- Compacting Concrete (SCC) is the improved form of conventional concrete and it is also known as free flowing concrete, which does not require vibrator for compaction of conventional concrete. Since SCC is used in all complicated structures, it seems costlier than conventional concrete. Along these lines, for delivering minimal effort SCC, it is judicious to take a gander at the substitutes to assist with decreasing the SCC cost. This exploration is pointed toward assessing the utilization of Sugarcane Bagasse Ash (SCBA) as a coupling material in SCC, keep up the quality of cement. In this study, the effect of SCC with 0, 10, 15 and 20% of SCBA replaced instead of cement to the volume of concrete for M30 mix is evaluated. Viscosity modifying agent of 0.3% to the volume of concrete is also added to increase the workability of SCC. The main focus of this study will be on investigating the optimum percentage of replacement SCBA with cement in SCC, which may help to reduce cost and to attain good results in fresh and harden properties on concrete.
