Abstract

High-performance concrete is very important in the work, and the Self-compacting Concrete (SCC) is the type of concrete can be classified as high-performance as the name suggests, so it does not require to be vibrated to achieve the full compaction for mixing. This satisfies many benefits and advantages may be over conventional concrete. The basic concept depends on voids filling and the distance between steel bars in spite of the congested reinforcement. With these significant characteristics, this type of concrete (self-compacting concrete) is considered as the most important step in quality and constructions economy, and as new applications will be made. T-beams are the most important in constructions. So, behavior studies are important under load influence which goes to many types of failure like, shear load. So, T-beams are cast , a few of these without shear reinforcement and others with vertical stirrups to investigate the effect of openings in shear span on ultimate shear strength with and without shear reinforcement. The shear strength from the results appear that is increasing when increase the steel reinforcing for shear in T beams. With the openings in T-beams was decreased shear strength about (20% - 33%).
