The Internet of Things for Smart Farming – Wireless New Technology

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) wireless new technology has revolutionised every part of the typical person's life by making everything smart and intelligent. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of autonomous devices. Agriculture production is changing day by day as a result of the development of intelligent smart farming IoT-based gadgets, which not only improve it but also make it more efficient and waste-free. This study's goal is to propose a new intelligent Internet of Things-based agriculture stick that will assist farmers in obtaining real-time data (temperature, soil moisture) for efficient environmental monitoring. This will allow them to practice smart farming and improve their overall yield and product quality. Production costs can be significantly decreased with IoT, which will boost profitability and sustainability. Moreover, IoT would raise the efficiency of the use of resources such as soil, water, fertilisers, pesticides, etc. This paper's proposal for an agriculture stick incorporates Arduino technology. A breadboard with a variety of sensors has been combined with it, and Thingsspeak.com provides a live data feed. The proposed gadget has undergone testing on genuine agricultural fields and delivers data feeds with a high accuracy of over 98%.
