As we know now a days, data is the most common thing to deal with, as it is produced in a very large amount every wherein life. It is very important to find out some knowledge from that data or else it is useless, there should be some meaningful information taken out from the data available, for this purpose we use market basket analysis and different data mining algorithms. Market basket analysis helps in identifying the buying nature of the customers. According to People purchasing pattern we got to make some meaning out of that data and this helps out the shopkeepers in many ways. As we use many different algorithms for market basket analysis, this information that we get using different mining algorithms is very valuable. Most commonly used algorithm in market basket analysis is Apriori algorithm. In this research paper we will compare different data mining algorithms with Apriori. Here, we do a comparative study of different data mining algorithms and their applications.
