Robots that can recognize people are not recent inventions. Depending on the application, several varieties of human-detecting robots have been developed. Humans trapped beneath buildings after natural disasters like earthquakes are tough to rescue. Although the rescue squad does detection, it takes a long time. The timely detection of humans is crucial in these circumstances. To find people during a crisis, this study describes and designs a straightforward person detection robot that is controlled manually and uses RF technology. Implementing these robots can be a lifesaver for the victim. This can also help the rescue squad by detecting humans in disaster areas where the reach of humans will be limited. It also accesses areas that are very dangerous for humans. It helps in diverting the manpower of rescue squads elsewhere rather than the detection which can be efficiently done by these robots without any risk of additional human lives. The human detection robot is equipped with various sensors and actuators including thermal sensors, PIR sensors, movement sensors and various types of actuators which take inputs from these sensors and produce the outputs such as the location of the survivors, if survivors are dead or alive etc. These robots are cost-effective as they are constructed with basic sensors and actuators with a very known RF technology. As these robots are cost-effective they can be made in large numbers without the worry of cost. These robots have to be equipped with special types of bigger wheels so that they do not get stuck in rough and tough areas.
