Abstract

Lung diseases are the disorders that affect the lungs, the organs that allow us to breathe and it is the most common medical condition worldwide especially in India. The purpose of the work is to detect and classify lung diseases using the Image processing technique by effective feature extraction through moment invariants, feature selection through genetic algorithm. The parameter values obtained from these features are compared with the normal values suggested by a physician. From the comparison result, the cancer stage is detected. The detected stage is informed to the user.
