Abstract

This study aims to develop a flood hazard map of Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima Province to estimate the area's flood risk. This was accomplished by considering height and distance from the streamline. Additionally, a damage index is estimated. Additionally, a risk model is created in QGIS using two alternative statistical methods. The Weibull distribution method and the normal distribution are used to assess cumulative probability and probability density. According to the flood hazard map, some areas are particularly vulnerable to flooding. Using Geographic Information Systems, the statistical distribution of the damage index is separated into several danger levels and shown (GIS). The results show the risk levels in various districts, which can be utilized to forecast potential problems and develop flood prevention strategies.
