Case Study on Preparation and Constructional Procedure of Reinforced Earthen Wall

Abstract

In the world scenario, the development of construction practices and techno-economical activities becomes quite common and in terms those activities would bring the system more flexible with respect to the road users and belongings. Say an example that, bringing retained earthen bund (Embankment) into reinforced earthen wall transforms the technology for many factors into considerations. Reinforced earthen wall is an onsite construction work which involves prefabrication of RE panels, installation and stability analysis. Intention of RE wall is to overcome the huge wastage of area and to make the durable and cost effective process in the construction of fly overs, railway over bridges and some other connectives in the road transportation system. So here in this case study highlight some points regarding “Design steps, Feasibility and case study on “Reinforced Earth Construction works” at Tholahunse near Davanagere (Dist) and also the prefabrication work, installation procedure and the construction of RE wall are discussed.
