Abstract

The nature of drinking water is an amazing ecological determinant for human well-being. Water Quality Index (WQI) esteems are figured for water quality measures in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru. In the present investigation 19 groundwater samples have been analyzed and interpreted. In general higher percent of WQI values in poor and very poor water quality classes is mainly due to geogenic and anthropogenic factors. Although the water quality is mainly controlled by rocks and soil chemistry, excessive utilization of agro inputs has also compounded to this problem. After collection of 19 ground water samples from selected area it is analyzed in Environmental Engineering laboratory, UVCE, Bengaluru. Analyzed parameters are represented in ArcGIS and statistical analysis is done for groundwater quality parameters.
