Abstract

Since agriculture of Dhaka city depend on temperature and rainfall, it is important to understand the variability of temperature and rainfall pattern as a climatic factor. This article investigates rainfall and temperature variability in Dhaka city for five years from 2011 to 2015. Although there is no direct correlation between rainfall and agricultural production as well as temperature and agricultural production, these two climatic parameters have indirect impact on crop yield. Better observational rainfall and temperature data are necessary to facilitate effective management in the context of climate change.
