Abstract

This paper presents the current scenario of air quality degradation due to automobile emissions with detail study of different types of on-road vehicle engine. Majority of air pollution occurred by mobile sources with toxic and nontoxic pollutant. If anybody wants to predict emission and concentration of that particular air pollutant, this description will help to understand thoroughly. It is very crucial to calculate emissions when heterogeneous traffic condition arises in developing country like India. Type of fuel and vehicle engine matters lot in Indian Driving cycle. So many emission models are available in market to predict different pollutants emission rate.
