Effect of Soil Structure Interaction on structure: A Review

Earthquake in world shows that not only non-engineered structure but also engineered
structures are also tremendously damage during earthquake. When we study earthquake
effect on structure most of the structural designer not considering the effect of soil or
behavior of soil during earthquake. They consider fixed base or rigid base of structure while
analysis but because of that we cannot predict exact performance of structure during
earthquake, so finding out the exact behavior of structure during earthquake we need to study
the effect of soil structure interaction on structure. In this review paper we studied many
literatures done in this area. Likewise we study not only the effect of soil structure interaction
on structure but also the different analysis methods of soil structure interaction.
