Parametric Study of Deck Slab Bridges for different Aspect Ratio under various IRC Loadings

Deck slab is an exposed part of bridge and bear load directly. Due to continuously increase in traffic load on bridges, its crucial challenge in front of designers to meet technical aspects according to load requirement. This study provides a comprehensive solutions and analysis of deck slab to meet these challenges. In this paper, behaviour of deck slab for different aspect ratio under various IRC loadings has been studied. Various IRC Loadings considered are class A, class 70R wheeled and class 70R tracked vehicle type loading. Several models of deck slab bridges have been prepared and analysed using STAAD Pro Software. In this paper were studied, the variation of shear force, shear stresses, bending and torsional moments of deck slab by changing the parameters like thickness of slab, aspect ratio for multiple class of loading. Study about the comparative performance of deck slab was examined for different loading conditions.
