Abstract

When two or more different types of fibres are mixed with a proper proportion to get an optimum mixture for producing a quality yarn or yarns is known as mixing. When any blended product is produced out of two fibres, the ultimate fabric comes out with superior quality. It is very important to give proper care to the blended product because the washing temperature as well as timing is very important for the final product. When any blend is prepared, any natural fibre has positive characteristics such as durability, non-allergic, breathability, comfort, absorbency, fire resistance and bio-degradability. Some advantages are also obtained from the blending process. Blending at the draw frame stage is the most popular and common in today's production processes. The majority of retailers are very much familiar with three common types of blend ratios such as cotton, polyester and viscose. Recently the most common blended products available in the market are cotton, polyester, rayon and spandex. There are different reasons for blending, which are like to achieve improvement or variations in aesthetics property and economical benefits and many others.
