The present work is to explore the influence
of Wire EDM process parameters on the
multiple performance characteristics of
Nitriding steel EN41. A number of controlled
experiments were done on the work piece
using Taguchi's standard L27 orthogonal
array (OA) design extracted from MINITAB-
17 software. The optimal setting of process
parameters was analyzed by Taguchi S/N
ratios merged with the Utility concept. The
results revealed that Wire Tension (WT) has
the highest influence on the multi-response
among all cutting parameters.
