Abstract

In order to prevent spreading of infection to and
from healthcare workers as well as patients, it is
necessary to rely on the effective use of personal
protective equipment (PPE) like face mask,
gloves, goggles, face shields, respirators, gowns
and others. The Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare Directorate General of Health Services
has made the guide lines of the use of settings on
the types of PPE to be used in different settings.
Standard precautions are followed to reduce the
risk of transmission of blood borne and other
pathogens from both recognized and
unrecognized sources. PPE is considered to be an
important component of a system protecting staff
and other patients from COVID-19 cross
infection. The use of face mask has become a
matter of global discussion because of the growth
of the COVID-19 pandemic globally. The
exporter of manufacturing of medical gear are
highly aspire to get benefit of it through the use
of technical textiles and find its new ways to
survive in the ever-changing industry. According
to NIOSH, as the risk increases for a product’s
use, so that the product should be more
thoroughly and independently assessed to
ascertain that it can provide the proper
protection.
