Abstract

To gain a competitive advantage, organizations
adopt various project management
methodology. A methodology developed by one
organization would be of a great value to it but
may not add value to other. The objective of this
study is to investigate the application of
PRINCE2 and Scrum project management
methodologies in different organizations. This
study attempts to identify the advantages and
disadvantages of PRINCE2 and Scrum project
management methodology. PRINCE2 project
management methodology is focused on
efficiencies and precision of the project. Scrum
project management methodology is
quintessence of agile that is faster and more
versatile than other methodologies. For the
purpose of the study, concluding factors and
logical analysis of various journal papers and
articles are taken into account. This study
suggests that the implementation of the
individual methodology depends on the strategy
and other factors of the organization.
