Identification of Performance Improvement Barriers in Manufacturing Sector and Modeled by Interpretive Structural Modeling

For the implementation of any new process in the organization, there are many barriers that can be roadblocks in the implementation of the new process. Green Lean Sigma (GLS) is a combined approach in which the components of Green Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma, and these concepts counter measures the disadvantages of each other and help the organization to increase productivity and enhance the quality of the product. Identifying barriers is the first step of the implementation of GLS, but after their identification, a contextual relationship is needed to be developed to identify which barrier is needed to be prioritized first for the effective implementation of the concept.
